Measles, the once thought to be conquered virus, has resurfaced this March, a number of cases appearing in New York. Here at AFC Urgent Care Hartsdale we want you to be aware of the virus, as measles is highly contagious. Measles symptoms usually include stuffy nose and cold-like symptoms, bright red eyes, fever and most notably a rash which often starts at the hairline and which can travel to the soles of the feet. The MMR vaccine, measles, mumps, rubella is the vaccination that prevents the virus and can be used to treat if caught within the first 72 hours.
